New Times Corporation (NTC) yesterday held its annual thanksgiving service with a call on the staff to build their capacities to enhance the activities of the corporation.
The Head Pastor of the Gateway Sanctuary of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) at Pokuase, Reverend Andrew Darko Ameyaw, preaching on the theme: “When does the first become the last” explained that, the last only becomes the first when competency replaces faithfulness.
Speaking on the parable of the workers of the vineyard in the bible, he added that “it is only when the last person is bringing something new that he or she can become the first.”
“It is important to build competency as it is the way to build and move the corporation forward to achieve its success,” Rev. Ameyaw stated.
The man of God urged the staff to stride their competency with faithfulness to avoid agitation, stressing that competency was key at the work place.

Mrs Ivy Ruby Austin, a board member of the corporation urged the staff to resolve and work hard for progress and success.
She further urged the staff to let peace prevail at the corporation saying “peace and hard work in the end will reap what we have sown all this years”.
“For the progress and success of the corporation we have to be committed to improving the delivery of our work to turn around the corporation,” she said.
The event was climaxed with songs of praise and intercession prayers for the staff and the corporation led by Mr Eric Oppong-Johnson and Fidel Ocantey from the ICGC Gateway Sanctuary.
