Mr Nimako
Director of Research and Elections of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Evans Nimako says the party is unfazed by the calibre of executives leading the National Democratic Congress (NDC) into the 2020 general election.
Though he commended the NDC for a successful election, he noted they could have done better.
For instance, Mr Nimako said he would not have taken it lightly if he were Adu Asare who contended for Deputy General Secretary and had his picture on the ballot paper but name replaced.
“He had nurtured his ambition and had gone round to campaign only to be disappointed on the day of event, though he would not have won because elections are not only talking on radio and television which Adu Asare is fond of, however, those who won seldom speak on radio and television.”
“I monitored all the candidates and knew Adu Asare was not going to win and was not surprised about those candidates who won irrespective of whoever emerged victorious in the NDC’s congress, the NPP is not scared of the newly elected executives.”
“Ghanaians have seen NDC and seen the NPP has a team able to work together to transform the nation and not the NDC, we are ready for 2020, we know even after 22 months, a lot is being done by the government.
“The NPP is ready, the team that brought the NPP to government is still around, we will still be entertaining more ideas and views, be engaging more people to ensure in the 2020 elections, the citizenry will still have confidence in the government and give us another mandate,” Mr Nimako touted. -3news.com
