The Ghana Police Hospital in Accra is to be fumigated from September 28 to October 1 this year.
A statement signed and issued in Accra by the Public Affairs Officer of the hospital, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Yaw Nketia-Yeboah, said in line with the exercise, the hospital would suspend provision of healthcare services until October 2.
It said the exercise would help get rid of organisms that were a hindrance to the attainment of the hospital’s goals of successful provision of quality healthcare services to clients.
The statement said, adequate provision be made at the Police clinics, at the National Police Training School (NPTS) at Tesano and Police Service Workshop branches to cater for only Police personnel and their dependents.
It advised non-police personnel to patronise other healthcare facilities nearby during the exercise.
The management of the hospital appealed to clients for their cooperation as the hospital start the exercise.
