The 1989-year group of Accra Academy with the assistance of the GNPC has refurbished the school’s dining hall and kitchen at a cost of GH¢170,000
The headmaster of the school Rev. William Garl, expressed appreciation for the dining hall facility which could only take any 900 students but with the rehabilitation, additional sitting capacity of 350 students has been added.
He said, it was therefore, very gratifying and expressed the school’s heartfelt gratitude to the 89-year group for the huge investment they have made in the school.
The headmaster said the school was also grateful to GNPC for supporting the project with funds to ensure the completion of the project.
He pledged that the facility would be put to a very good use.
Mr Felix E. Addo, an old student and Independent Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited, who was the special guest, appealed to all old students to support the school.
He called on the students to keep the facility in good shape to ensure that it last long. There were goodwill messages from other year groups.
