Incorporate Women Traditional Rulers Into The Chieftaincy Institution - Queenmothers
The Council of Women Traditional Rulers (CWTR), a group comprising of female chiefs and queenmothers from all the ten regions of Ghana have called for the passage of a Legislative Instruments (L.I.) to incorporate women traditional rulers into the chieftaincy institution.
According to them, this would be in accordance with Article 277 of the 1992 constitution which defines chiefs to include queenmothers who are properly enstooled.
