The New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives and some chiefs in the Nsawam Adoagyeri Constituency of the Eastern Region are passionately appealing to the President, Nana Akufo-Addo, to appoint the Constituency Treasurer, Emmanuel Owusu, as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area.
According to them, he is a unifier, disciplined, and selfless person, who they believe would have a great impact and also help improve the development and the livelihoods of residents in the municipality.
Twelve out of sixteen constituency executives, in a statement, said: “We humbly suggest you consider Mr. Emmanuel Owusu, the current Constituency Treasurer, for the Municipal Chief Executive position.”
According to them, Mr. Emmanuel Owusu had served the party in the constituency with all his strength in various ways, adding that he was a true patriot.
Speaking on behalf of the executives, the Constituency Secretary, Mr. Frank Aboagye, said Mr. Emmanuel Owusu had worked from the polling station level as a polling Station Secretary and rose through the party structures to become the Constituency Treasurer.
They noted that his efforts for the party were worth mentioning and commendable, adding that he had administratively helped manage and put things in order at the party office at Nsawam.
“We know and believe, with him as the Municipal Chief Executive, government flagship programmes will see the light of day within the municipality. Mr. President, we wish our humble request will meet your kind consideration and approval,” they stated.
The Abotendomehene of Sakyikrom, Nana Kwame Addo I, added that Mr. Emmanuel Owusu had undoubtedly a good working relationship with the Member of Parliament (MP) when he was serving as the Treasurer, and had also demonstrated a high sense of belongingness and dedication to the Nsawam-Adoagyeri Municipality.Read Full Story
