Rodney Appiah, son of Ghana football legend Stephen Appiah made his debut for Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League match day 22 against Liberty Professionals on Sunday.
The youngster was introduced into the game in the second half to help the “dade boys” clinch a 2-0 win over Liberty Professionals at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Rodney was signed by Great Olympics from the second-division outfit KingStep FC in the second transfer window after impressing on trials.
He has worked his way up to the senior team and was given a chance to follow in the footsteps of his dad by Coach Annor Walker in Sunday’s game.
Rodney Appiah, after the game, took to social media to express his delight after making his debut in the Ghanaian top-flight.
