Asante Kotoko are close to sealing a partnership deal with an unnamed club in the English Premier League.
This was revealed by the club’s Chief Executive Officer Nana Yaw Amponsah at the unveiling ceremony of the new management team in Kumasi on Tuesday.
According to Amponsah, the deal is 90% done, assuring fans that the partnership will be beneficial to the Porcupine Warriors.
“We are 90 per cent through signing a partnership deal with an English Premiership side. We want to plug our club in them so we can have the replica, if not the same, of everything they have here,” Amponsah said.
If the deal goes through, it will be Kotoko’s second partnership with an English top-flight club. Between 2011 and 2015, Kotoko had a partnership with Sunderland.
