The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Takoradi Constituency, Mr Fredrick Fautinos Faidoo, says the grounds are good for him to win the seat and make history.
He is contesting the seat with the Western Regional Minister, Kobina Okyere Darko, who has won it for three consecutive terms.
“Takoradi is gearing up for a change and the change is coming, and it’s a change that will come for better. People of Takoradi know all major developments in the city were done by the NDC, as result, we have to change and move Takoradi forward,” he said.
Speaking to journalists at the donation of cartons of filtered water supplied by the NDC Zongo Caucus to the parliamentary candidate at a short ceremony, Lawyer Faidoo pointed out that the donation by the group was another strong indication that the constituency was gearing up for a change.
“I am astonished by the show of party volunteerism by the group, and it gives a clear signal that the grounds were good. This is because people are voluntarily supporting my campaign on their own volition,” he said.
Lawyer Faidoo agreed to a suggestion that the group, by its donation, had not only watered the ground for him, but also armed him for the battle ahead, and promised not to disappoint. “We are indeed grateful for this show, and I promise that the party will not forget you when we form government.”
The group made a similar donation Mr Phillip Buckman, who is also the parliamentary candidate of the party for the Kwesimintsim Constituency.
The Chairman of the group, Muhammed Abdul Razak, said the group decided to support the two parliamentary candidates because they feel they have a role to play in victory for the party.
