Ashanti region has so far recorded sixty-three (63) covid-19 positive cases and out of the number, three have died while six have recovered.
The Regional Health Director of health services, Dr. Emmanuel Tenkorang, at a press briefing in Kumasi today, said 54% of the total number are males while 46% constitutes females.
According to him, the most affected age groups are those in 20 to 29 years bracket and urged the public to try as much as possible to observe all the protocols by covering and their noses with masks and others. He noted that though President Akufo-Addo has lifted the ban placed on free movement, all the other protocols are still in place and must be observed.
He revealed that there is going to be mass screening and voluntary testing of commercial drivers, health workers, market women and the media because these groups mingle with a lot of people.
