THE NKAWIE Forestry Commission led by the District Manager, Nana Poku Bosompem and his staff has embarked upon a massive afforestation project to enhance forest conservation.
According to him, the exercise is aimed at conserving and restoring the already depleted forest, by the nursing of timber seeds to maintain the forest from destruction.
Nana Bosompem noted for his expertise and technical know-how on plantations has appealed to all stakeholders to pool resources to help restore and maintain the depleted forest from destruction.
Nana Bosompem, who was adjudged 2015 National Best District forestry manager has since formed many groups in the afforestation commission to help preserve and protect our forests for some time now.
