Kwofie penned a one-and-half year deal with the Miners after successful negotiations.
The 30-year-old has been without a club since parting ways with Malaysian side Puchong Fuerza FC in the summer of 2019.
Speaking in an interview with Wontumi radio and TV, Kwofie confirmed he has signed a deal with Ashgold as he hopes to hit the ground running when football finally resumes.
"I've signed one and half-season with AshGold. I will join the club when football resumes," the former Medeama SC and Bechem United forward said.
"I am the same Hans Kwofie, so the fans should expect the Hans they knew years back and also be patient when things aren't going well too."
He featured for Ashgold in the 2016/17 season and won the Golden Boot after scoring 17 goals.
He has previously played for Bechem United, Medeama SC, Al Oruba, Smouha SC, Singida FC and Puchong Fuerza FC. Read Full Story
