Amankwah Mireku played for Hearts of Oak from 1997-2007 before joining Indian side Viva Kerala in 2007.
He won many trophies with Hearts of Oak including the 2000 CAF Champions League, 2004 CAF Confederation Cup, the Ghana Premier League, FA Cups and others.
He played an instrumental role in Hearts of Oak ’64 Battalion’ squad and he is considered as one of the legends to have donned the rainbow colours.
Speaking on GTV Sports Plus ‘Time With Our Captains’ show, Amankwah Mireku stated that he will choose football ahead of any other career.
