The Samtredia right-back represented the powerful West African nation at two World Cups in 2010 and 2014.
The former FIFA U20 World Cup winner says the feeling of featuring for the Black Stars can't be explained.
"This is what every player on the planet has dreamed of since childhood. An amazing feeling that I can’t put into words. It’s amazing when you defend the dignity of your country and the whole world looks at you. You are ready to die for your homeland," he told live.gh
"I would choose to play against Uruguay in 2010, which went down in history. I was in the main squad for this match and something happened here that happens very rarely.
"Luis Suarez took the ball out of the door by hand, otherwise we would have reached the semifinals. Unfortunately, we lost in the penalty shootout. It was the most tense match of my team career."
Inkoom has been lost without a trace since he was hit with a global ban by FIFA for breach of contract with his former agent.
