Helping with the sequence of events, JCR Electoral Commissioner, Clement Amponsah, narrated that he was compiling the list of aspirants who had duly submitted their forms to contest in the election when Stefan Bonsu walked into his room and submitted a resignation letter.
“Around 10 pm, I was compiling the list of the aspirants who have submitted their forms with one of my executives and Stefan entered my room with his form as an aspirant for organizing secretary and also submitted a resignation letter that he was no longer applying as a presidential aspirant.”
Clement Amponsah further narrated that although the deadline was at 11:59pm of Thursday 27 February 2020, Wisdom assured him of finding a new partner to run in the election.
“I called Wisdom Ndukwe as soon as possible and made him aware of Stefan’s decision as at 10:40 pm. Although there was limited time, Ndukwe still assured me of being able to submit a form of his new running mate within the given period,” he said.
Clement Amponsah further disclosed to UniversNews that Ndukwe submitted his form after the deadline, making him illegible to contest in the elections.
