He also advised drivers, motor riders and other road users to adhere to all Road Traffic Regulations and remain cautious so as to avoid accidents.
The IGP revealed that enough personnel have been deployed to ensure peace and order during this yuletide especially in crime-prone areas.
“Over 15,000 Police personnel both in uniform and plain clothe, have been deployed to various vantage points, particularly crime-prone areas to maintain law and order. We have intensified day and night patrols, increased community engagements and sensitization on security matters, deployed some technological devices to enhance information gathering, stepped-up traffic management, intelligence-led operations, snap checks and highway patrol,” he disclosed.
