Accra Brewery truck accident causes traffic at Obetsebi Lamptey Circle

An Accra Brewery truck on Sunday morning caused heavy vehicular traffic on the Obetsebi Lamptey Circle road after hundreds of drinking bottles fell from it onto the road.

The long vehicle, with registration number GN 4368-19, was bound for the Accra Brewery Factory from the Nkrumah Interchange when the incident occurred at around 9:40 am.

An eye witness recounted that the truck which was behind another truck from the company was unable to properly negotiate the curve at Obetsebi Lamptey Circle, resulting in the accident.

According to the eye witness, the accident occurred because the truck was moving at top speed when it tried to take the curve at the roundabout. He added that no casualty was recorded.

Police nearby had to rush to the scene to allow the easy flow of motorists who had closed from church.
