The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) announced the decision to hand him the job before the Sports Ministry rejected his appointment in a dramatic twist of events.
Eventually the situation was resolved and Sellas Tetteh made his return for a second spell with the Leone Stars, after a temporary appointment in 2014.
A month later into the job, the 62 year old manager is still dealing with the fall outs;
“I’m still managing the situation. You know sometimes the issue of football and politics but I want to do a good job and leave a legacy. So issue between FA and the Ministry I don’t have much to say about it I just want to leave a strong legacy”
Asked whether the situation has affected his job, he answered;
“I’ve been in this job for a very very long time and have gone through several difficulties and challenges so these are things that won’t frustrate me. Though it will be there I will still manage”
