Ayew noted that they believed the only key to being successful at the upcoming continental campaign was through hard work and were focused on attaining that.
The Black Stars have been camping in Dubai as they prepare for the AFCON in Egypt and Ayew described their training sessions as intense towards achieving their target at the mundial which kicks off on June 21.
In an interview, the Fenerbahçe player who is on loan from Swansea City, said his teammates were determined to get in top shape before the commencement of the AFCON.
“We have been in Dubai for a while now and I can tell you that everyone is working tirelessly to ensure we deliver the AFCON title to Ghanaians.
“Everyone here believe in hard work being the key to success and are focused on working towards that in order to achieve our goals,” he added.
Coach Appiah named his final 23-man squad for the tournament with Majeed Waris, Mohammed Alhassan, Fatawu Safiu and Nuhu Musah missing out through injury.
However, Ayew has sent quick recovery message to Nuhu for his injury and stated that the entire team was behind him to come back stronger.
