The local giants have their new badge designed to make it more digital and media friendly has all the colours of the club presents in the design with the oak tree featured prominently at the upper part of the design.
It also paid attention to other elements of the club including the history, the rainbow colours and the 1911 year in which it was founded.
The design was done by UK-based global leader in sports brand consulting and design teamup whose clients include adidas, Arsenal FC, Celtic FC, FIFA, MLS, Tottenham Hotspur, Under Armour and the USL.
In a statement issued by the chief executive Mark Noonan, described the club as an iconic brand on the continent in terms of football as such they factored that in the new design of the badge to preserve that heritage.
''Hearts of Oak is an iconic brand in African football and we took great care to preserve that heritage in the new marks.
''That said, in order to thrive in this new digital era, we needed an identity that was cleaner, more dynamic and a symbol of the club’s future ambitions.'' Read Full Story
