The other aspirants include former Trades and Industry Minister Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Prof Joshua Alabi; former CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Sylvester Mensah; Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin; and former aide to Mr Rawlings, Goosie Tanoh.
The others include businessman Nurudeen Iddrisu, handyman Stephen Atubiga, legal practitioner Elikplim Agbemava and former Kumasi mayor Kojo Bonsu.
In Mr Rawlings’ view, the presidency is “too busy a place for hopefuls/running mates who spend a little too much time grooming their moustache and dyeing their hair”.
