The coaching position of the Porcupine Warrior became vacant after Coach Paa Kwasi Fabin resigned a couple of weeks ago following a misunderstanding with management, leaving the club with no option than to scout for a new trainer.
The former Dreams FC gaffer believes he has the magic wand to turn things around if Kotoko consider him for the top job.
Coach Zito, who spoke to the Graphic Sports Online in an interview Thursday, refuted claims that he had been contacted by the club for the job but admitted that he was an admirer of Kotoko and would not turn down an offer to sit on their bench if the opportunity comes.
“I once worked with the junior team of Kotoko so I’m conversant with the club. I wouldn’t mind working with the junior side again but I would readily accept the challenge to coach the senior side if I am considered for that”, Coach Zito said.
Coach Zito, C.K Akonnor, Abdul Razak and Frank Nuttall are among the list of coaches who have been linked to the vacant job and Zito is confident he could do a good job to transform the club when he is handed the opportunity.
“I am an experienced coach and I know what I can do”, Zito, who led the Black Starlets to the final of the recent AFCON qualifying tournament in Niger said, adding that the contract terms should be favourable to enable him to shuffle between club work and national duties. Read Full Story
