Just as they departed for France for their World Cup campaign in batches, the Princesses will again return home arrive by different flights.
The team faced travel difficulties ahead of the World Cup after their initial arrangements to France via Spain was cancelled because a proposed training tour of Spain was called off at the eleventh hour. Later, a planned direct flight from Accra to France via Air France was also cancelled after the airline said it was no longer flying on the scheduled dates for the team.
The Princesses had a disappointing campaign in France, losing two group games to France (1-4) and the Netherlands (0-4) before bowing out with a 1-0 win against New Zealand in the final Group A game on Sunday.
Ghana's hope of going past the group stage for the first time was ruined by poor preparations ahead of the competition, following an injunction on activities of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and its officials, as well as a ban on organised football in the country as the government commenced processes to dissolve the football regulatory body after an exposé on widespread corruption in Ghana football.
