After grabbing the match winner for Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga on Monday night against Leipzig, Ghana midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng says they ‘want to near the top.’
Boateng who fetched the winner for the home side in the 26th minute has revealed the hidden agenda of The Eagles.
Speaking at the post match presser, Boateng said Frankfurt have targeted to be close to the top knowing very well that it will be difficult to outwit Bayern Munich and Dortmund for the title.
"We fought - a little bit too much at times. But we threw ourselves into it. We competed well and played some nice football going forward.
“Things are going well for us. We're developing as a team. Everyone's happy.
“We want to stay near the top of the table,” he said.
The determined Ghanaian added that his charges have set their sights on a ticket to the 2019 Europa League and will work strenuously for that.
“I'd be happy if we can qualify for Europe, because we've had an excellent season. I'll give everything to get there,” he added.
