Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital Medical Director given a week to leave post

The Ministry of health has ordered embattled Medical Director of the Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital, Dr. Eugene Dordoye to leave his post within a week to make way for a new appointment to be made.

The decision follows months of agitations by staff of the hospital protesting the removal of the Medical director.

Deputy Health Minister. Tina Mensah and the Chief Executive officer of the Mental health authority, Dr. Akwasi Osei met the staff at the Hospital today to convey the decision of the committee to them.

The Psychiatric nurses group has called off their strike and have returned to work.
