The trucks were intercepted on Friday by a customs patrol team on the Nanton-Tamale road in the Northern region.
The Tamale Sector Commander of Customs, Dr Godfred Okoh-Appiah at a media briefing said a sample of the chemical has been sent to the Customs Laboratory in Accra for testing to ascertain its veracity or otherwise, as well as its wholesomeness.
Dr Okoh-Appiah said the results of the test would determine the next action to be taken and that when it was proven to be ethanol, the state could rake in a total estimated revenue of about GHC 139,000. Read Full Story
