Samartex new coach Nana Kwaku Agyemang has set sights on securing the Ghana Premier League title in the upcoming campaign.
Agyemang joined the Timber Club after an impressive spell with Vision FC in Ghanaian top-flight, where he established himself as one of the league's highly regarded young tacticians.
Speaking in an interview, the fast-rising tactician reiterated his desire to guide the Timber boys to Ghana Premier League success next season.
“Samartex has won the league before, so anything short of winning the title again and qualifying for Africa cannot be considered a success. You cannot celebrate finishing in the top four or top six when the club has already proven it can be champions. I am sure the supporters are hungry for more success.
“The goal is to build an exciting brand of football that the fans will enjoy while competing to win the Ghana Premier League.” He told Mo TV.
The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to kick off between September 4 and 7, with Samartex aiming to make a strong start under their new manager.
The campaign will conclude on the weekend of May 28 to 31, 2027, as clubs across the country intensify preparations for another highly competitive season.
