Ghana FA president Kurt Okraku believes the future of the country's football remains bright after exiting the 2026 FIFA World Cup at the round of 32.
The Black Stars won a game and lost two in four matches at the World Cup in North America.
After a hard-fought win over Panama and an impressive goalless draw with England, the Black Stars suffered defeats to Croatia and Colombia to end their tournament.
Okraku, who has been in charge of the FA since 2019, picked positives from the tournament and remains hopeful of the future.
"The future of Ghana football remains bright. The Football Association is committed to building a stronger, deeper and balanced team that will return to the Africa Cup of Nations, challenge for continental glory, and reach even greater heights on the world stage," he said in a statement posted on the FA's website.
"Let us not use this moment to dwell on the disappointment of the team’s inability to advance to the next Round of the World Cup but forge ahead with renewed determination and oneness of purpose to build a stronger team for the future," he added.
The latest feat by the Black Stars is the best under the Okraku-administration, being the first time the national team has progressed beyond the group stage.
The Black Stars will now switch their attention to the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
