Danish outfit FC Nordsjaelland have praised Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi after netting his first goal for the Black Stars in friendly against Wales.
Yirenkyi, who was adjudged Nordjaelland Player of the Season made substitute appearance as the Black Stars shared the spoils with Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The versatile player was introduced into the match in the 60th-minute mark and made an immediate impact, scoring the opening in the 66th-minute to put Ghana ahead.
But the Black Stars were denied victory after Lewis Koumas headed home a stoppage-time equaliser for Wales.
After the match, the Danish outfit took to social media to celebrate the enterprising Ghana midfielder for his outstanding display against Wales.
“Things we love to see,” wrote FC Nordjaelland in a brief post featuring the image of Yirenkyi and Nuamah.
The promising midfielder continues to raise his profile with the Black Stars and is increasingly seen as one of Ghana’s exciting young talents as they prepare for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Yirenkyi has been named in Ghana’s finals quad for the 2026 World Cup and is expected to play a huge role for the West African giants in the global showpiece, to be co-hosted in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
