Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo as they look to strengthen their attack ahead of the January transfer window, but they could face major competition for the Ghanaian international’s signature.
Spurs are unbeaten in their last three matches under Thomas Frank, including a 2-0 Premier League win over Brentford, followed by a 3-0 Champions League victory against Slavia Prague, and are now assessing forward options as they push to reinforce the squad. They travel to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, but transfer planning is already well underway.
According to The Sun, Tottenham are keen on Semenyo but are wary they could miss out, with Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal all reportedly interested. The 25-year-old has developed into one of Bournemouth’s most influential players since joining from Bristol City in 2023, following earlier loan spells with Bath City, Newport County and Sunderland.
Semenyo has made 101 appearances for the Cherries, scoring 28 goals, including six this season, and recently signed a contract extension running until 2030. He is also believed to have a £65 million release clause, a figure that could shape negotiations in January.
If Tottenham are unable to secure Semenyo, they may consider alternatives such as Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh, but Semenyo remains the primary target given his Premier League experience, athletic profile and proven output.
With increasing interest from several top clubs, the coming weeks may determine whether Spurs can position themselves strongly enough to land one of the league’s rising forwards.
