Bibiani Gold Stars edge Basake Holy Stars in MTN FA Cup battle

Bibiani Gold Stars booked their place in the next round of the MTN FA Cup with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Basake Holy Stars.

The Miners had to dig deep away from home, soaking up long spells of pressure before finding the decisive breakthrough.​

In a tense cup tie decided by fine margins, Emmanuel Agyei produced the key moment against his former club, clinically finishing the game’s only goal to silence the home crowd. His all-round display in attack, linking play and pressing from the front, earned him the Man of the Match award and underlined his importance to this Gold Stars side.​

With the cup job done, Bibiani Gold Stars will quickly switch focus to their league campaign, where they face a tough test against 7th placed Samartex on December 7th.

Basake Holy Stars, meanwhile, must regroup and lift themselves for another big challenge on the same day when they come up against Aduana FC.
