Ghana forward Mohammed Kudus has come under criticism over what has been described as a lack of consistency.
The Black Stars talisman returned from injury over the weekend, starting for Tottenham Hotspur in their English Premier League clash against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.
In the thrilling London derby, Mohammed Kudus failed to impress, earning a rating of 6.1 after playing 78 minutes, as Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 4-1 defeat at the end of the game.
Sharing his view on the Ghanaian, former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood admitted that Kudus is a key player for the team, but added that his lack of consistency is a major weakness.
“Kudus is a breath of fresh air; he brings a lot to the team when he plays. But he still lacks the consistency to become an elite player,” Sherwood said.
Mohammed Kudus, 25, has been good for Tottenham Hotspur since his summer move from London rivals West Ham United.
He has one goal and four assists after making 11 appearances in the English Premier League. Although his quality is not in doubt, he needs to add consistency to his game to be counted among the best in the world.
