Ghanaian defender Denis Odoi has completed a free transfer to Dutch Eredivisie side NAC Breda, signing a deal that runs until the end of the season, with an option for an additional year.
The experienced full-back joins fellow Ghana international Kamal Sowah at the club, reunifying a partnership last seen during the Black Stars’ 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign in Qatar.
NAC Breda confirmed the move in an official statement, noting that Odoi’s arrival provides immediate reinforcement for a defence currently dealing with several injuries. His versatility, leadership and experience are expected to be valuable assets as the club navigates the remainder of the campaign.
Odoi brings a wealth of European experience. Before joining Breda, he featured for Club Brugge and Royal Antwerp in Belgium, as well as Fulham.
He also spent time with KSC Lokeren, Sint-Truiden and OH Leuven earlier in his career, having developed through the youth systems of Anderlecht, Genk and OH Leuven.
The 37-year-old is expected to slot directly into Breda’s setup as they push to stabilise their defensive structure in the coming weeks.
