The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) has announced a major boost ahead of the 2025/26 Division Two League season after securing a GH¢150,000 headline sponsorship deal with Mart âD’ Electrical and Construction Works.
The partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the VRFA Secretariat in Ho, between VRFA Chairman Daniel Agbogah and the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Martin Davidson.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman Agbogah described the sponsorship as “a game changer” for football in the region.
“On behalf of the Executive Council and all stakeholders in Volta football, I wish to express our profound gratitude to the CEO and management of Mart âD’ Electricals for coming to our aid at such a crucial time,” he said. “This sponsorship eases the financial burden on our clubs and will go a long way in enhancing the organisation and competitiveness of our leagues.”
Agbogah also confirmed that the RFA will not increase registration or participation fees for the new season, stressing the body’s commitment to supporting member clubs.
CEO Martin Davidson lauded the association’s leadership and vision, adding, “As a proud supporter of youth development and sports, our company is delighted to partner with the RFA to create opportunities for young talents in the Volta and Oti Regions.”
Present at the ceremony were RFA Vice Chairman Caesar Franklin Heh and Secretary Promise Michael Ahiagba, who joined both parties in celebrating the partnership aimed at advancing football in the Volta Region.
