Asante Kotoko winger Peter Amidu Acquah has reportedly turned down a contract renewal offer from the club, sparking concerns about his future.
The 19-year-old has attracted several interest on the back of his scintillating performance for the Porcupine Warriors. The Ghanaian giants are however bent to hold onto the enterprising winger and are making frantic attempts to tie him down at the club.
But according to Kessben FM, the fast-rising winger is said to dragging his feet to renew his expiring contract.
Acquah will, however, leave the Ghanaian giants as a free agent if both parties are unable to agree on a new deal. The winger joined Kotoko in 2023 under the then coach Prosper Narteh Ogum and swiftly established himself as a key member of the team.
This season, Acquah has made four appearances out of five in the Ghana Premier League, scoring two goals across the period. In the Confederation Cup, where Kotoko fell short in the preliminary round games, the winger racked up four appearances
Since joining Kotoko, the 19-year-old has made 63 appearances, scoring seven goals and delivering three assists across the period.
