Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, beleives Benjamin Asare will learn from his mistakes.
The Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, who also doubles as the first-choice goalkeeper of the Black Stars, has come under criticism due to his inconsistent performance in recent weeks in the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
However, speaking to 3Sports, Asante Twum has urged Hearts of Oak fans not to panic over goalkeeper Benjamin Asare’s recent mistakes in their game against Holy Stars.
According to Twum, Asare will learn from the error and move forward.
“I think Benjamin will learn from his mistakes. I don’t think it is time for Hearts of Oak fans to panic,” he said.
“These things happen. All the top goalkeepers in the world make mistakes.” Twum pointed out that one mistake in eight matches is not a cause for concern, stressing that the key factor is how Asare recovers from the error.
Twum expressed confidence in Asare’s ability to bounce back.
“I believe he has the capacity and competence and the ability to get back to where we all know him to be."
Benjamin Asare has so far kept five clean sheets for the Phobians. He is expected to keep his place in the team when they host Asante Kotoko this weekend in the Matchday 9 games.
