The Super Two clash between Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak in the President Cup recorded poor attendance at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The two glamorous clubs in the country with huge followers were unable to fill the 40,000 seater capacity stadium for the cup match.
According to reports, poor publicity from the organizers GHALCA can be attributed to the poor attendance at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
GHANAsoccernet.com checks indicate that about 5000 spectators made it to the stadium to watch the game.
The first game which was rained off at the same venue in September this year was well attended by fans from both sides.
In the game played on Sunday, Asante Kotoko defeated arch-rivals Hearts of Oak to win the title.
The Phobians scored first through Kofi Kordzi from the spot penalty in the 36th minute after Ampem Dacosta was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box.
Asante Kotoko got the equalizer some few minutes to the end of the first half through an own goal by Hearts defender Mohammed Alhassan.
Naby Keita scored the winning goal for the Porcupine Warriors in the 64th minute to make it 2-1.
Kotoko has beaten Hearts in two consecutive games in the President Cup.
