FK Göteborg have shipped out Ghanaian midfielder Lawson Sabah on loan to FC Linköping for the rest of the season, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report.
The 22-year-old has been sent on the expedition exercise following his struggles at the Swedish top-flight side.
The Ghanaian joined FK Göteborg in 2015 but has failed to cement a regular position at the club.
The midfielder has played on loan at several clubs including Varbergs Bois (2018 ) and FC Linköping City.
He returns to the Swedish second-tier side for the remainder of the 2019/20 season.
“We think this is the best for Lawson. As our own squad currently looks like, we can't offer him the playing time he needs to develop," Gothenburg Sports Manager Kennet Andersson said in a statement.
“We will, of course, follow him during the loan period and wish him luck in the coming half year in Linköping. We have a very good cooperation with them. What happens next is not known at present, but we continuously evaluate the situation”.
Lawson Sabah will be hoping to impress on his new loan spell to ensure he finally gets his chance at FK Göteborg when he returns.
