Philadelphia Union forward David Accam believes Asante Kotoko has what it takes to eliminate Kenyan club Kariobangi Sharks in the CAF Confederations Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors held the Kenyan club to a goalless draw in Nairobi last Saturday with the second leg scheduled for December 22nd in Kumasi.
David Accam, who is currently in Ghana following the end of the Major League Soccer season has keen interest African football and believes the Reds can end Kariobangi Sharks adventure in the competition.
“I think they did well, they didn’t lose, they didn’t concede which is very good,” he said on GH One.
“They should just try and beat them (Kariobangi Sharks) here in Ghana so they make it to the next round.
“Usually you have to be psychologically sound in such games and I believe Kotoko has what it takes to beat them.”
Accam, however, is a big fan of Kotoko's rivals Hearts of Oak and has stated he would want to end his career with the rainbow club.
“I’m a very strong Hearts of Oak fan. It’s the club I have supported since childhood. Hearts is a great club and a big club with lots of history and sure I would love to be part of the history of Hearts of Oak,” Accam said in an interview recently.
