Sassuolo midfielder says the club is aiming high after an explosive start to the season.
The club has enjoyed a fabolous start to the campaign, picking seven points from three games to move up to second on the table.
Boateng, 31, who been a leader for the side since joining from German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, has laid out the ambition of the side this season.
" A great start to the season. The Sassuolo project goes far beyond salvation. Given the first three games, that is our target. We aim high, where perhaps no one sees us. At 31 I feel great and I can help the team there, even if this means running more,"
" With experience you understand what your body needs exactly. We must love ourselves before our neighbor. And I love myself very much. Not in an arrogant way, but positive, in order to give the best to others.
"I know I was so wrong when I was young because I was not serious and I did not have the right people around, unlike today. Looking back I feel I could have reached much higher ground."
Sassuolo travel to the Allianz Stadium in Turin to face Juventus on Sunday.
