Midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah says it feels great to return to international football after a four-year self-imposed exile and wants to help the national team win trophies.
The Inter Milan ace has joined Ghana's squad in Ethiopia to prepare for a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya in Nairobi on Saturday.
Asamoah trained with the players on Wednesday morning but limped off as a precautionary measure and nothing serious.
''I'm happy to be back. It's a great feeling because it's been over four years of staying out of the national team. I'm back and I will like to thank the fans for their prayers and support,'' he said.
''With the help of God, I hope we can win things together.''
Asamoah has not played for Ghana since featuring at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.
He has been a Ghana international since 2008 when he was named in the 23-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations that year on home soil.
