Spokesperson for the CAF/FIFA Liaison Team Dan Kweku Yeboah has debunked reports that Kwadwo Asamoah has picked an injury at the Black Stars camping base in Ethiopia where they are training ahead of the 2019 AFCON qualifier against Kenya on Sunday.
Asamoah arrived in Addis Ababa on Tuesday night to join the rest of the players as they prepare for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya.
Reports went rife on Wednesday morning that the 29-year-old was unable to finish training after suffering an injury in training.
However, Dan Yeboah has allayed fears of Ghanaians, revealing that the Inter Milan left-back's training was truncated as a precautionary measure.
"Ghanaians should not panic there's no situation, it's not true Kwadwo Asamoah is injured," he told Oyerepa FM.
"He only took precaution to sit out some few minutes to end of training to put ice on his knee which was precautionary."
"He's not injured. He is fit and ready to play on Saturday."
Asamoah last played for the Black Stars against Portugal at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil where Ghana lost 2-1 to exit the tournament.
