BK Hacken striker Nasiru Mohammed has been ruled out for the rest of the season because of a thigh injury.
He suffered a rupture-his first muscle injury in his career- and will undergo surgery.
The former Ghana U17 captain injured himself during a league clash with Brommapojkarna.
Mohammed has been key for Häcken this season with four goals in 17 league appearances.
"It's obviously sad, but I'll be back stronger," the 24-year-old told the club's website.
''I have never been away from the football for so long, it will be interesting to see how it is. But my body is recovering well, so I hope it's going fast.
Mohammed is also preparing for his first operation in his career.
"The doctor said I could let it heal without surgery, but that the injury could easily come back again. With surgery, I will be as normal again.
''I have heard of players who did the same operation and then been able to play for another ten years. So it feels nice.''
Häcken's physiotherapist Patrik Ghazarian says Mohammed will need four months of rehabilitation.
