Ghana Division Two side Emmanuel FC will lock horns against their Teshie XI counterparts in a friendly match at the Teshie Gonnor School Park on Friday, August 24.
The match will form part of activities to mark the celebrations of the upcoming Teshie Homowo Festival.
Coach of Emmanuel FC, Richard Kingson told GHANASoccernet.com on Thursday that his outfit will treat the match in a friendly manner as it is aimed to add colour to the celebration of the Festival and also serve as a unifying force amongst the people of Ledzokuku constituency.
The former Black Stars safest pair of hands stated that though they would like to come out of the match as victors, he’s hoping the game will be devoid of violent and injury.
The match will serve as a dress rehearsal for Teshie selected XI ahead of their second leg clash with Nungua selected XI, which is set to come off at the Teshie Presby Park on September 1.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel FC who have been engaging in high-profile friendly matches will use the match to sharpen their rough edges ahead of the resumption of football in the country.
The team will hope to bounce back from the 1-1 stalemate they played against second-tier side Mighty Jets last Friday.
The fixture has been scheduled to start at 03:00pm
