Kwadwo Asamoah says he does not regret missing out on the opportunity to play with Portuguese super star Cristiano Ronaldo after joining Inter Milan.
Ronaldo joined Juventus from Real Madrid, days after Asamoah had completed a three-year deal to the Nerazzurri.
The Ghana international has settled in quickly at Inter after impressing in the side's pre-season so far.
He has been hailed widely for his superb performance against English giants Chelsea in a pre-season friendly last week.
But the former Udinese star insists he has no regrets for missing the chance to feature alongside the four-time FIFA Player of the Year.
“I did not expect him to go to Juventus, but for Serie A it is positive that such a champion comes to Italy," he told Corriere dello Sport.
“I have already played him when we played Real Madrid in the Champions League and I am getting ready to give my best against him and the rest of the players in the Serie A.”
The versatile African talent is expected to be key for coach Luciano Spalletti ahead of the Serie A this season.
