Aduana Stars got their CAF Confederation Cup campaign back on track after beating AS Vita Club 2-1 on Wednesday in Dormaa Ahenkro to record their first win of the campaign.
The Ghanaian champions with an early domination got themselves 2-0 up in the first ten minutes .
Bright Adjei headed home a cross from Yahaya Mohammed in the third for the opening goal.
Mohammed connected the pass from right back Caleb Amankwah to double the lead seven minutes later.
The visitors settled and came back strongly in the game.
In the 36th minute, left back Glody Ngonda pulled one back for the DR Congo giants after slotting in a free-kick.
AS Vita Club continued with their dominance but the defence of the Fire Boys were equally good to the task to prevent an equalizer.
Aduana Stars move to second place on the table with four points.
New coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi was taking charge of his first match since joining a fortnight ago.
