Firefighters in Germany had to break into the home of Bernard Tekpetey to douse a smoking cooking pot while the Schalke midfielder was at a Bundesliga match last Saturday.
The 20-year-old was an unused substitute in the 2-1 home win against Hoffenheim.

As smoke poured from the flat, his neighbours phoned firefighters who showed up to break into the player's flat to deal with the situation.
According to German daily Bild, the incident happened at 10pm local time on Saturday.
