Ghanaian duo Ema Boateng and Latif Blessing have been named in the shortlist for the 2017 MLS best 24 players Under 24.
Boateng, 23, plays for LA Galaxy and has been one of the most exciting players this term in the MLS.
He has managed to score four goals in 29 league appearances.
Blessing, who joined Sporting Kansas City this season from Ghana Premier League Liberty Professionals, also made the provisional list of 50 players.
The 20-year-old has been able to keep his head afloat on his debut season and has scored three goals in 20 appearances.
The final list of 24 players will be determined by a panel made up of top soccer media members and the MLSsoccer.com editorial staff.
The panel ranked the eligible players based on the following criteria:
Technical: first touch, dribbling, shooting and heading
Soccer IQ: positioning, reading game, situational understanding and tactical awareness
Physical Attributes: balance, agility, speed, endurance, strength and vertical leap
Personality: attitude, marketability, media savviness, charisma and intangibles
Potential: improvability, ceiling, national team potential and potential transfer value
