Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi will soon announce a substantive General Secretary for the local football governing body.
But the astute football administrator the next scribe will recruited from within the association.
According to the Graphic Sports publication, it looks certain that either the current acting general secretary, Alex Asante, or his colleague, Isaac Addo, would be confirmed for the role.
The position has been without a substantive successor since Kofi Nsiah went on compulsory retirement in 2010.
Mr Emmanuel Gyimah acted after Mr Nsiah’s exit then till 2015 when he also went on voluntary retirement and the acting position also occupied by the deputy general secretary in charge of marketing and sponsorship Isaac Addo.
''After the exit of Mr Kofi Nsiah, the executive committee decided that it was not going to recruit from outside but was going to appoint from within. However, the best-qualified personnel had not held such high managerial roles and they had to be given time to enhance themselves,'' Nyantakyi told Graphic Sports.
