Medeama President Moses Armah has backed new Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah to end the country's long wait for an African crown.
The 56-year-old is replacing Israeli tactician Avram Grant whose contract run out in February after the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars have not won the Nations Cup since their last triumph in 1982 after another failed attempt at the last tournament in Gabon.
The 35 barren years have left a bitter taste in the mouths of Ghanaian fans but former Black Stars management committee member Moses Armah, is backing the former Kotoko star to be successful on his return.
"Definitely he can win us a trophy because in the nation's football history, all those coaches that won us our four titles were Ghanaians hence I believe we have taken a good path," he told Accra-based Happy FM
